Sicily

So. Messina, Sicily

We really just walked around all day. This was our first day in Italy and we were supposed to be in Libia today but apparently people were killing eachother there so we stayed away. We got off of the ship, grabbed some gelato(I had nutella flavored) and hit the town. I thought the boys in Greece were pretty but ITALY, the women and men were all gorgeous. And as I learned today its because they are so laid back. Skinny jeans, sweet hair, slamming glasses and whatnot, just fierce. I felt so country. Haha. And its not even a big city. But Italians are laid back and all about the indulgences. Food food and more food, sex, leisure time, the whole city shut down from 1-4, all the shops closed so we came back to the ship until it opened again. Sorry, before we went to the ship we ate lunch and we ate at this little street cafĂ© and I had fried octopus and a calzone. It was amazing. Mom you would have died. I took a pic. I’ll show you sometime. Once we got back out we went to a store and the girls bought some sweet stuff, I arranged a photo with the staff of the shop and it made them all so happy cause we were just stupid Americans. Haha. And then, then I did something I said I would only do once and by god I did it. I bought a pair of sunglasses. Like quality sunglasses that are insured for life and will last me quite some time. I had to swallow a big swallow to purchase them but I did, and I got a discount cause the lady said I was cute. They are pretty amazing glasses made by Dolce & Gabbana. I know I know, I’m not one of those types that needs the hardcore labels but these glasses were made for my big ass face. Don’t worry, I am laden with guilt and shame so mom, dad, and matt you can spare me the lecture. Its my body I’ll do what I want. Haha. Anyways. Just found out I get to be an escort tomorrow for the tour to the ruins of Pompeii. Dad, holy shit, I’m going to Pompeii, for FREE. Who does that. Love you.

Also I only have euros and the machines here don’t take euros so I’m shit out of luck for internet and phone cards. So matt, if you ever read this I’m sorry I couldn’t call you on your drive across America. I will keep trying to find a 10 dollar bill.
i love you
