i wanna be blonder

Looking back and reading through my previous posts I’ve noticed some common threads between the cities I’ve traveled too.

First and formost I noticed that I refer to the people as gorgeous often. I’m not going to go against that at all with this post. There have been some ugly countries like Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, France but the ones that have been amazing have been just that. Oh, and when I say ugly I’m just talking about my opinion and I’m just judging based on the small selection of people I’ve seen and I don’t mean ugly, I mean not striking or attractive. Ha. I digress.

Second, I’ve notice I talk about how nice or mean the people are. For the most part the countries I’ve seen have all been very friendly and open. My favorites have been Greece, Spain, Norway, and today, Denmark(this place is amazing). Greece will always have a special place in my heart but these Nordic countries I’m going to on the next few cruises are proving to be a formidable match.

Maybe its because I look like the nords or maybe its because they all speak amazing English on top of their own language. Whatever the case may be I have never felt so at home or comfortable somewhere than I did today in Aarhus, Denmark. (we go to Copenhagen, Sweden, and finland soon so that might change but…) yeah. The people here have surpassed the other countries which is sayin something cause I don’t even like blondes. But the purity of the blonde hair and the creaminess of their skin, it was amazing. They look like how you would imagine an angel to appear. I know that sounds cheesy as all hell but its true. There is such a simple beauty in the gene pool up here its fascinating. I have never seen more beautiful women. I’ll leave it at that.

All we did today was walk up and down a street, window shop, and people watch. The fashion here is just how I want to dress. Very clean but has a nice urban edge. Low slung pants, straight leg, suits suits and more suits, fat knotted ties(like over exaggerated), the sailor look is in full force here. Everything is classy but relaxed. I don’t know how to explain it. V-necks and stripes are all over Europe. I don’t know. Its just really nice. The people here, as I’ve said, are so laid back and cool. Everything shuts down early in the day, everything is relaxed. I haven’t heard sirens, horns, thousands of cars, people yelling. Any of that. Its all just clean and chill. Maybe it’s the near arctic air. In both Norway and Denmark the air has smelled clean and its been overcast and cool. If this is just a trend then so be it but if its how it is all the time then I’m moving. I could definatley see myself getting a morning coffee on my way to work in my sweet business suit and slammin trainers (tennis shoes). Haha.

I’m just really impressed with how the rest of the world operates compared to America. There’s just something very rough and brutish about the states. I never got that until I left and looked back. It makes me want to be more aware of things and maybe even find a way to continue learning. Getting schooled I guess. Oh well.

I don’t know, maybe I just needed the romance of these cities and that’s why I’m so drawn to them. The old cottage looking buildings with the patinad copper roofs and giant medieval cathedrals. I’m not too happy personally so maybe the simply joys of this part of the world really spoke out to me. I’m sounding really gay, I’m gonna stop.

p.s. I saw a blonde gay couple today walking around with their adopted son. Not one second look, not one foul remark, just people acting as if nothing was strange. Must be nice to live in a place like that.
