Trolls and Sweaters

So I finally make it to Norway…..and I look like everybody there. I’m a little thicker, more german, but everybody was talking to me and jeff like we were from there(he’s blonde too). I learned how to say thank you. Phonetically it sounds like tuzan tuk and is spelled in english as Tusen Takk and means a thousand thanks. Its cool. They said I sounded native. But I’ll tell you this….when anybody realized we didn’t speak their language they would flip to perfect, non-accented, English. It was crazy.

Anyways, I love Norway, olso so far. It was cold and rainy so I was in heaven. The women are STUNNING with the perfect color of blonde hair and the men, although somewhat more slight, are very masculine. I can’t wait to come back and see the Viking museums and all the art museums Olso has to offer. The one negative side to Norway as a whole is that it is SO EXPENSIVE. The nation is independently wealthy from oil and I’ll be damned if nothing was under 20 dollars. 1 dollar is 6 krones and the price tags were all 99 or 149(that’s how much a cd cost) or 358 for watch at h&m that I really really really want. Oh well.

One thing I’m learning about traveling about is that America is rather behind when it comes to mens fashion and society. Even our currency is busted compared to the rest of the world. I’m all ready for coin currency. The bills didn’t start till 50 here. Everything else was a coin, and cool looking coins at that. This is random, sorry

Lesson of the day: just because a huge bottle of water has no bubbles in it and costs 5 dollars doesn’t mean its not carbonated.

Lesson number two: you can trade an umbrella for a troll doll in the shops on the pier. This troll is doing my pose, the senior pic pose with the hand on the chin. You’re supposed to get trolls when you come to Norway. cool
